How we spend your donations
Mary’s Meals has become known as ‘the charity that operates out of a tin shed’ and has low running costs. We are proud of that reputation and work extremely hard to maintain it.
Mary’s Meals is funded almost entirely by individual donors. Some give a one-off donation, others pledge an amount monthly or annually. We regards ourselves as stewards of all the resources entrusted to the organisation and take this responsibility very seriously. Of every £1 you donate we are committed to spending no more than 6p on Fundraising and 1p on Governance leaving 93p to spend on our charitable activities. Key to this is keeping our running costs at a minimum so as much as possible of your donation reaches those in need.
