Finance Manager – Zambia

We are looking for a Finance Manager for a two year fixed term contract to work in Zambia. Reporting to the Country Director or lead Country Representative, you will have a strong track record of field management in a developing country, preferably in Africa.

You will manage the financial accounting, reporting and control activities and ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of accurate financial records, for the integrity of the accounting system and for compliance with regulatory requirements with regard to accounting records and reporting. In addition, you will have responsibility for managing the procurement processes and to manage all human resource issues in relation to local staff.

You will be required to demonstrate experience in a similar role in a non-profit organisation and have good computer skills, including familiarity with financial software packages and advanced user level spreadsheets experience. Knowledge of SAGE50 would be an advantage.

You will have previous experience of leading a team, have excellent communication and people skills, be flexible and capable of working with a multinational country team. You will need to have analytical and conceptual skills to plan project budgets and be able to exercise initiative and sound judgment to successfully accomplish the requirements of this role.

Programme Support Accountant – Glasgow Based

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support the overseas programme offices with the accounting, reporting and control activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.  In addition, you will provide support and advice to our Partner Organisations in other countries.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating major procurement processes in the UK and at international programme offices. You will lead on the development and drive the implementation of standardised financial policies and procedures and support our programme offices.  In addition you will be required to support the programmes team in the development of partner financial assessment, reporting and capacity building tools.

Good computer skills, including familiarity with financial software packages, Microsoft Word and Excel are essential.  As is the ability and willingness to travel regularly to overseas partners and programmes.

Programme Manager – Haiti

We are looking for a Programme Manager for a two year fixed term contract to work in Haiti.  Reporting to the Head of Partner Projects, you will have a strong track record of working at a senior level within an international development organisation, experience or working preferably in Haiti or French Caribbean, and can demonstrate significant experience of leading on partnership development, impact monitoring and supply chain development.

You will be working and supporting Mary’s Meals partners in Haiti, initially to review and recommend appropriate models for the procurement and delivery of food and services to enable continued success of the school feeding programme in Haiti.

We are looking for a highly resilient person who is able to work independently with excellent people and communication skills. It is also essential that you have cultural sensitivity and community engagement skills and experience, and also be fluent in written and spoken English and French.   You will have an understanding of the principles of international development and familiarity with using planning tools in international development, including using and developing monitoring, review and evaluation systems.

A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. social sciences, business administration or logistics) or demonstrable significant experience in a similar role is essential.

Logistics Manager – Liberia

We are looking for a Logistics Manager for a two year fixed term contract to work in Liberia.  Reporting to the Country Director, the successful applicant will have a strong track record of working at a senior level within an international development organisation – preferably in Africa – and can demonstrate significant experience of leading and managing logistics, transport and security functions.  You will have excellent leadership, people and motivational skills. Operational excellence is essential as is cultural sensitivity and community engagement skills and experience.

Working from Tubmanburg, Liberia you will support the Country Director to expand a highly successful and growing school feeding programme to new geographical areas and communities and may be required to work in other areas of operations in Liberia.  We are looking for a highly resilient person who is able to work independently, with excellent communication, organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.

A BA/BSC in a relevant subject (e.g.  Logistics, supply chain management, business administration or any other relevant disciplines) or demonstrable significant experience in a similar role is essential.
