PRIMARY

By learning about those who benefit from Mary’s Meals projects, and the challenges they face, your pupils can gain knowledge about their global community.  Citizenship skills can be developed by exploring the part they can play in developing a better international society. Please find some lesson ideas and resources and some exemplars which you will hopefully find useful. Please adapt to suit your pupils’ needs. The exemplars are merely there to show the variety of ways in which teachers have used Mary’s Meals to overtake many aspects of the modern curriculum. You too can help! We are looking to grow and develop the resources and exemplars available. If you have used Mary’s Meals as a context for delivering any aspects of  learning or unique fundraising ideas and are willing to share them, then let us know and we can add it  to help and inspire others.

Working in partnership with Mary’s Meals has not only allowed our pupils to take part in meaningful social enterprise activities, but has also allowed our whole school community to be active Global citizens working hand in hand enhancing the life experiences of children around the world.  Through a joint initiative with Mary’s Meals and LTS, our pupils took part in a “ GLOW MEET”  sharing good practice with schools from across the country”
