Change Challenge
The Change Challenge is a very simple idea, to collect loose change for Mary’s Meals. It really costs very little to feed a child for a year with Mary’s Meals, so you don’t need to worry about going to great expense to make a difference. Just by collecting 1ps, 2ps and 5ps, you will soon have enough to feed someone for a whole year!
Make your own collection bottle
Get an old water bottle – a 330ml capacity one is good. Make sure it is empty, clean, and dry. Getting an adult to help you, cut a slit in the top of the bottle Then, stick some sticky tape along the edges of plastic that you have cut, so as to protect yourself from sharp edges. You are now ready to decorate your bottle in whichever way you like!
Get others involved!
Why not ask local shops, your school canteen or tuck shop if they will put a collecting bottle at the till, and see how quickly it fills up. Or take one home with you, and every time you have some coppers put them in your Change Challenge pot.
