Prydau Mary Cymru
Mary’s Meals Wales was launched at the Senedd, in Cardiff Bay in 2008. The launch was sponsored by Rosemary Butler AM, Deputy Presiding Officer. Since then there has been much activity in Wales including fund raising events such as concerts, sponsored events, lunches, car boot sales and cake sales.
Many organisations have supported Mary’s Meals and the Backpack project including, Church groups, Rotary International, Soroptimists, Inner Wheel, Lyons International, Catenians, Masonic Good Neighbours groups, Scout and Cub groups and many primary and secondary schools. To all our volunteer speakers and supporters.

Mothers’ Union starts to pack
The Mothers’ Union at Holy Trinity, Church in Wales, Pontnewydd, South Wales have decided to support Mary’s Meals after listening to an illustrated talk given by volunteer speakers Anne & Geoff Edge. The group have decided to take on backpacks as their next project and will also spread the word to other Mothers’ Union groups in the deanery.
Speaking about the charity Alma Bridges, Branch Leader said “We are very impressed with the charity and the way it does not waste money on unnecessary expenditure” she continued “We hope other branches will also follow our example and give their support.”
