Digital Officer, Glasgow

Mary’s Meals International is delighted to be recruiting for a talented Digital Officer to join our Communications team here in Glasgow. An innovative digital marketer, you will tell the Mary’s Meals story through a full spectrum of global communications channels. This is an amazing opportunity to deliver inspiring online content and campaigns to grow the global movement.

Reporting to our Digital Manager, your key duties will include:  

  • Bringing our digital strategy to life across a suite of multi-language websites, social media channels and email marketing.
  • Supporting our global websites through updating content and working closely with our digital partner to increase engagement, maximise traffic and ensure optimum supporter experience.
  • Supporting and training the Mary’s Meals family in all things digital, providing support and training to help drive global growth in digital fundraising and awareness.
  • Creating innovative content and maximising its effectiveness via the use of digital analytics (Google Analytics or Facebook Insights), a true understanding of the data behind the content is essential.

You will bring a positive approach to managing a varied workload and will have excellent project coordination skills, as you will be working across a variety of projects within a busy team. A strong team focus, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are also key to success in this role.  Experience of working within the digital communications space, either in an agency or in-house environment, is essential and you will also possess a relevant degree, HND or equivalent.

You will also bring:

  • Experience of engaging with a variety of social media communities across a variety of geographical locations.
  • Experience of working to brand guidelines and experience of working with CMS systems.
  • Experience of working with or for a charity would be beneficial but not essential, however, alignment with the values of the organisation and the desire to “give back” is essential.
