MasterChef The Professionals champion Gary Maclean is supporting our Double The Love campaign this Christmas.

The match-funding campaign will see the UK government match public donations to Mary’s Meals until 1 March 2019, up to £2 million.

Gary recently supported our Porridge Smiles campaign ahead of World Porridge Day and he is delighted to be involved again, as we look to reach more hungry children together in Zambia.

Gary, who is also the National Chef of Scotland, said: “Mary’s Meals is doing amazing work to change the lives of some of the world’s poorest children, which is why I’m supporting its Double The Love campaign.”

There are so many ways to support Double The Love during the festive season, you can donate, fundraise, order our of our gift cards or even set a place at our Big Family Christmas table.

Gary added: “For so many of us, this time of year includes finding that perfect present for a loved one and getting together with family and friends to share a special meal.

“By setting a place at the Mary’s Meals Big Family Christmas table, we are able to share the gift of food and education with hungry children.

“It costs just £13.90 to feed a child for a whole school year with Mary’s Meals, less than the average cost of a Christmas dinner for one person, and this year, with the UK government matching donations, up to £2 million, a gift of £13.90 will help to feed two children. What a wonderful gift.”
