Get active and help Mary’s Meals!

If your New Year’s Resolution involves being healthier or helping others, then look no further!

Registration for the one of the UK’s toughest one-day challenges – The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon – is now open, and Mary’s Meals will benefit from each participant’s fundraising.

The 16th annual Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon will take place on Saturday 9th July and is organised by Perthshire-based WildFox Events. Over the years, WildFox has raised more than £20 million for charities through its events.

This year’s event once again promises to be an exhilarating test of stamina, strength, and fitness through the Scottish Highlands. The route comprises a 0.8mile swim across Loch Tay, a 15 mile run or walk up and over 7 Munros, a seven mile kayak along the Loch, and a 34 mile bike ride around it.

Participants can register in teams of two, or opt to enter as a relay team. Each quadrathlete raises funds to be gifted to two partner charities; Mercy Corps and Mary’s Meals.

The Quadrathlon is designed to be accessible to people of all abilities, from more experienced athletes who want to push themselves to the limit or those who wish to set themselves a new challenge and improve their fitness.

Alan Brown, UK Executive Director of Mary’s Meals, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the participants and organisers of the Quadrathlon for making it possible, year on year, for us to reach out to more hungry children with a daily meal in school.

“Each part of the challenging course is a little act of love that will help us to reach the next child waiting for Mary’s Meals.”
