Super school fundraisers are top of the class after adding thousands of pounds to the Double The Love pot.

Pupils at Dollar Academy, Clackmannanshire, raised an amazing £5,000 by collecting loose change from family and friends as part of their Harvest Challenge.

Youngsters from the prep, junior and senior schools made paper cups and encouraged loved ones to think of others while having their own meals.

Aldwickbury School, in Harpenden, also raised £5,000 after holding their annual Bazaar.

Pupils past and present had fun at the event and donated to stalls such as the chocolate tombola, toy and book stall, hook-a-duck and snowboard simulator.

Daniel Peel, a Year 5 pupil said: “I think supporting Mary’s Meals was a good idea because we are helping children to gain an education and to feed them.”

Thanks to Double The Love match-funding, both schools’ incredible efforts will help even more children all over the world.

Dollar Academy and Aldwickbury School have made a BIG difference with small change.
