Supporters in London danced the night away as they used their Burns Night celebrations to fundraise for Mary’s Meals.

Around 150 people attended a Burns supper at St Luke’s Holloway Road church, in North London, before enjoying a traditional Scottish ceilidh.

Supporters Catherine Gallagher and Robert Monaghan have been organising the event for the last seven years and were delighted to discover that funds raised from this year’s event would be matched by our Double The Love campaign.

Until 1 March 2019, public donations to Mary’s Meals’ Double The Love campaign will be matched by the UK government, up to £2 million, helping to provide life-changing daily school meals to impoverished children in Zambia.

Robert said: “We are so pleased that our fundraising will be matched by Double The Love, it’s a great incentive.

“This was the seventh year we held the Burns Night and there is always new people attending, who are really moved by the Mary’s Meals story.”
