Tilda Foodservice donate 60,523 Mary’s Meals to children in school

Tilda Foodservice help Mary’s Meals serve life-changing daily school meals to impoverished school children around the world.

Since launching our partnership with Tilda Foodservice in July 2018, we’re delighted to announce their fundraising has helped Mary’s Meals serve a staggering 60,523 life-changing daily school meals to impoverished school children around the world.

At an event held to celebrate this milestone, Tilda raised a further £400 for Mary’s Meals, which became £800 during our Double The Love campaign, thanks to match funding from the UK government.

Speaking at the event, Gerrard McMahon, Fundraising Co-Ordinator at Mary’s Meals said:

‘‘We are very excited about our partnership with Tilda and grateful for their support, which is bringing hope and joy to chronically hungry children and their communities. Support like this is so important because we always want to reach the next hungry child whose life can be changed by Mary’s Meals.”

The Mary’s Meals partnership means Tilda Foodservice will donate 7p, the cost of a typical portion of rice in the UK to caterers, from the sale of every 5kg bag of Brown & White, Tilda Brown Basmati, as well as Tilda Wholegrain Brown Rice.

For 7p Mary’s Meals can provide a hungry child with a life-changing nutritious school meal, making it possible for them to attend school regularly, so they can gain an all-important education and look with hope towards a brighter future.
