Supporters from The University Caterers Organisation are feeling on top of the world after climbing Ben Nevis to fundraise for Mary’s Meals.

The TUCO team, from Manchester, travelled to the Scottish Highlands where they were joined by Mary’s Meals fundraising officer Max Graham for the mammoth task of scaling the UK’s largest mountain.

The group stopped by the shed in Dalmally to see where Mary's Meals began. While visiting our global HQ, TUCO chair Matthew White was able to present Magnus with a cheque for and amazing £13,900 on behalf of the group - enough to feed 1,000 children for a whole school year.

The TUCO team supports Mlambe Primary School in Malawi through Sponsor A School and have previously cycled 100 miles from Manchester to Nottingham to raise funds for our work.

During the Ben Nevis challenge, Matthew said: “TUCO chose to support Mary’s Meals, because of the links between education and feeding. The work of the two organisations marries together beautifully.

“We are trying to raise as much as we can for Mary’s Meals to continue the work that Magnus started.”
