Global Hunger Crisis Appeal

Global Hunger Crisis

The world's forgotten children are in crisis.

This year, the world is facing a hunger crisis of unprecedented proportions brought about by conflict, climate change and Covid-19.

It has now reached emergency levels, with the effects of the war in Ukraine and the soaring cost of living worldwide making the situation even more desperate.

More than 5.7 million children under five are now a step away from famine.

The time to act is now.

Global forces are impacting the communities we serve.

As the world emerges from the pandemic we continue to face unprecedented challenges.

Conflict

The ongoing crisis in Ukraine has disrupted supply chains and increased delivery costs for essential goods such as fertiliser.

Costs increasing

Rising Costs

The rising cost of living is impacting communities in the countries where we serve our meals as well as affecting people here in the UK.

Climate change

Climate Change

Many of the communities we serve are directly impacted by climate change and are living in increasingly inhospitable environments.

We need your help to reach the next child waiting.

We deliver life-changing meals to more than two million of the world's most vulnerable children every school day, but we need your support to reach the next hungry child waiting.

Triple your impact

Until 14 October, if you set up a monthly Direct Debit to Mary’s Meals your first three donations will be tripled – thanks to a group of generous donors who have made funds available up to £150,000. We know the cost of living crisis is affecting many of our dedicated supporters here in the UK – this is a wonderful opportunity to make your donations go even further.

Direct debits tripled for Mary's Meals

No matter how challenging it may be,

with your help, there is always hope.

Food is important. Before, the schools were empty. I didn't come to school. Now we eat Mary's Meals every day and more people are coming.
