Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. The promise of a meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.

Mary's Meals International is recruiting for an innovative, values-driven leader to join Mary’s Meals as Director of Brand and Marketing.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will be responsible for developing and leading the global brand and marketing strategy, providing inspirational leadership to three sub-teams of experts in Brand and Marketing, Digital Experience and Creative Solutions.

As Director of Brand and Marketing, you will be bringing the inspirational story and impact of Mary’s Meals to life. You will be responsible for growing the supporter base and for driving income by providing expertise to a global network of National Affiliates, optimising their presentation of the Mary’s Meals brand and their marketing efforts.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and deliver an annual global donor engagement and growth strategy, that connects with the Mary’s Meals family, inspires new audiences and grows our global movement.  
  • Hold responsibility for global brand development and integrity, ensuring the Mary’s Meals brand remains relevant, inspiring and unique.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing campaigns fit for multiple channels.
  • Actively seek out external trends and drive innovation at Mary’s Meals, ensuring we have the right data insight, marketing technology and channels available to support growth.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to your teams, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement and empowerment.
  • Work as a strategic partner, as part of the Growth Senior Leadership Team.


About you:

  • A strong background in leadership within brand and marketing, and a proven track record of driving brand equity and organisational growth.
  • Success in developing and executing innovative global marketing strategies, as well as tailoring campaigns for international markets, is essential.
  • A strong understanding of donor experience will be key, along with the ability to leverage and implement relevant marketing technologies to support growth.
  • Experience within an international non-profit organisation would be beneficial but not essential.
