Published on

Looking for a Christmas fair in Glasgow that does more than tick off your gift list? This November, the Mary's Meals Christmas Market returns to the historic Trades Hall in the Merchant City, with every purchase helping to provide school meals for children experiencing hunger in some of the world's poorest communities.

On Saturday 14 November and Sunday 15 November, entry is free, so if you're planning your Glasgow Christmas market visits for 2026, add this one to your list.

Why your Christmas shopping matters

Mary's Meals began in a shed in the Scottish Highlands in 2002. Today, we serve nutritious meals to more than three million children in 16 countries, including India, Liberia and Mozambique, every school day.

The promise of a daily meal encourages children into the classroom, where they can gain an education and hope for a better tomorrow.

Ashley McWilliams, Head of Scotland for Mary’s Meals, says: “We are delighted to welcome the local community to our Christmas Market at Trades Hall this November. The event is a wonderful opportunity to start your festive shopping, enjoy a fantastic atmosphere and come together in support of something truly meaningful.

“We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, stallholders and supporters whose generosity makes this event possible, and we look forward to welcoming new and familiar faces for what promises to be a very special weekend.”

“Join us for some festive fun and help Mary's Meals provide life-changing school meals to children living in some of the world's poorest communities,” explains Ashley. “Feed a child this Christmas with Mary’s Meals and your gift means more than just food – it’s hope for an education and a better life.”
