Our low-cost approach means we can serve a school meal to a hungry child for just 10p! That’s why we are calling on schools across the UK to help us change more lives with Pocket Money for Porridge!
This October, we are inviting pupils to be heroes for hungry children by bringing a 10p donation to class for Mary’s Meals.

Why porridge?
Mary’s Meals provides school meals to children in some of the world’s poorest communities, bringing them into the classroom to learn and play.
In some of the countries where we work – Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe – the school meal we serve is a vitamin-enriched porridge, which helps children to learn and grow. That’s why we celebrate World Porridge Day on 10 October every year – because we know porridge has the power to change lives!
With Pocket Money for Porridge, we are inviting pupils to share a little of their pocket money with children who are missing out on their education because of hunger. Just 10p can feed a hungry child with one of our nutritious school meals.
