Our approach to feeding in schools
The Mary's Meals school feeding model
We have been delivering school feeding programmes since 2002, and we continuously develop and refine our approach to reach as many children as possible in the most efficient, effective and sustainable way.
Our unique model revolves around a partnership between schools, local communities and Mary’s Meals, ensuring each child safely receives the correct meal every school day and is respected and protected.
Community-led school feeding
Our unique model revolves around a partnership between schools, local communities, and Mary’s Meals. With our support, school staff and local volunteers work together on the day-to-day running of the programme, ensuring each child safely receives the correct meal every school day and is respected and protected.
Delivering daily school meals
Behind the scenes, across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Middle East, large-scale logistics operations make it possible for Mary’s Meals volunteers to cook and serve more than three million plates, mugs and bowls of food to children every day in their place of learning.
The impact of Mary’s Meals
These meals are so much more than food. They bring renewed hope for a brighter future for children, their families and the wider community. Discover how your support – and each meal you are helping to deliver every school day – is making a difference for children both inside the classroom and at home.
